On September 22, 2021, Hormel Foods Corporation (the “Company”) approved an amended Code of Ethical Business Conduct (the “Code”). The Code is applicable to all employees, officers and directors of the Company and its subsidiaries, including the Company’s principal executive officer, principal financial officer and principal accounting officer. The Code was amended to improve readability and include features that increase understanding of the topics, such as Q&A, examples, definitions, and callouts to emphasize key points. Also, the Code provides additional clarity as to the Company’s expectations regarding ethical business conduct and appropriate treatment of compliance risks. The Code is organized by subject matter to make it easier for Company personnel to find and apply applicable guidance. It does not materially change the responsibilities and obligations that applied previously.
